ClassicPlus flight rewards are eligible on e-ticket destinations only.
Eligible Flights for Reward Travel
All scheduled flights operated by eligible airlines.
Charter flights and Air Canada code-share flights operated by another carrier are not eligible for either ClassicFlight or ClassicPlus flight redemptions.
Air Canada code-share flights operated by Central Mountain Air to/from Quesnel, Campbell River, Comox and William Lake are not eligible for either ClassicFlight or ClassicPlus flight redemptions.
Charter flights and 400 flight number series with First Air are not eligible for either ClassicFlight or ClassPlus redemptions.
Exceptions:
Air Canada code-share flights operated by EVA Air: redemption is permitted between Vancouver and Taipei only.
Reward Travel Rules
On eligible carriers for ClassicFlight reward travel:
One stopover or one open jaw is permitted in addition to the point of turnaround for travel to all destinations except between Canada/Continental U.S.A. and Asia, Tel-Aviv or Australia.
Two stopover or one stopover and one open jaw are permitted in addition to the point of turnaround for travel between Canada/Continental U.S.A. and Asia, Tel Aviv or Australia.
On eligible carriers for ClassicPlus Flight reward travel:
For ClassicPlus Flight rewards, itineraries with a stopover or an open jaw may affect the required mileage redemption level.
For ClassicFlight rewards on First Air:
One stopover is permitted in addition to the point of turnaround. Reward request must be made at least 14 days prior to departure.
Blackout Periods for Reward Travel
There are no blackout periods for reward travel when flying on Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz. However, capacity controls still apply. This means there are a limited number of ClassicFlight reward seats available on a given flight. There may be instances when flights are not completely booked but all available reward seats have been claimed. Capacity controls are not applicable on ClassicPlus flight rewards.
Flight reward reminder
When you redeem for a business class reward ticket that includes segments booked in both business and economy class, please note that upgrade requests at the airport are not permitted for the flights confirmed in economy class.
