ABOUT Engineers Without Borders

Sharing knowledge can change the world

An award-winning, Canadian, registered charity, Engineers Without Borders shares expert knowledge and essential technologies with communities in need. Its committed volunteers work with local organizations around the world to provide basic necessities such as water and food. When you make a donation to Engineers Without Borders, your Aeroplan Miles are converted into travel funds that help these volunteers go where they’re needed most.

The full value of your donation goes directly to Engineers Without Borders, helping to improve and enrich lives, and to educate the next generation—today’s high school students—on the importance of helping other people. Make a difference today—for tomorrow.

Your Miles at Work - Local Women in Mali taking ownership

In Maourolo, Mali, Engineers Without Borders volunteer Levi Goertz helped 20 women install a rural energy machine that would cut a grueling day-long task into a simple thirty-minute job. The Multifunctional Rural Energy Platform is reducing the tremendous labour demands on women in rural Mali, and local women are taking ownership of their incomes by managing the rural energy source in their village.
